Meet ‘Taylor Swiftkin’: A 399-pound pumpkin that’s ‘bejeweled’ just like the pop star

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WFLA) — Since September, when Taylor Swift was first spotted at a Kansas City Chiefs game, her and star tight end Travis Kelce’s relationship is all anyone can talk about – so much so that couples are planning to dress as the two for Halloween.

But what about a pumpkin dressing as Taylor Swift? And not just any old pumpkin – a 399-pound pumpkin.

That’s right, a woman in Dublin, Ohio, who’s been decorating pumpkins for 35 years, came up with a plan to turn her massive pumpkin canvas into a bejeweled pop star.

How a dry September could affect pumpkin picking in October

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Pumpkin patches are open as the autumn air settles in central Ohio, welcoming guests for picking, hayrides, corn mazes, petting zoos and more.

Andy Lynd of Lynd’s Fruit Farm told NBC4 central Ohioans can expect a “traditional” field of pumpkins when the head to the patch this year, even though a lack of rainfall seen in September could have impacted the quality of crops. Still, Lynd said below average rainfall in September is more manageable than at the start of the season.
