COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football came out of the Rose Bowl with genuine questions at no fewer than seven defensive positions for 2022.

It did not need to solve all of them this spring, especially considering defensive coordinator Jim Knowles was installing a new scheme and making his first talent evaluations. What one could see developing this spring is more layers of security throughout a defense that struggled with scheme problems and injury-depleted talent gaps last season.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (COLUMBUS BUSINESS FIRST) — Express Inc. is getting into the name, image and likeness business with a pair of Ohio State superstars.

The Columbus-based retailer on Monday named quarterback C.J. Stroud and wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Nijgba its first-ever collegiate athlete style ambassadors.

“We’re a fashion brand,” said Sara Tervo, the retailer’s chief marketing officer. “We’re always looking for ways to create awareness and excitement.”
