Bikers trade helmets for aprons: Columbus motorcycle clubs serve Thanksgiving feast to homeless
Nearly a dozen Columbus motorcycle clubs spent time in the kitchen serving Thanksgiving dinner to Columbus’ homeless community.
“It’s just an honor for us to do it,” said Amy Stromer, a member of the Saddle Tramps motorcycle club who volunteered to pass out Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie Thanksgiving morning at the Faith Mission on Grant Avenue.
The dinner created by the Saddle Tramps has been a holiday tradition for nearly 20 years, where motorcycle groups across the city have volunteered to serve dinner to people with nowhere to go.
