COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — AEP Ohio said Friday it is not participating as an organized group in Columbus’ pride celebration following this week’s power outages.
AEP said the decision was made to ensure that “nothing distracts from the positive nature of the event.”
“AEP continues to be a proud supporter of the LGBTQ+ community and PRIDE events across our service territory,” the company told ABC 6/FOX 28.
The company’s many of its employees will be participating in the Columbus Pride celebration this weekend.
