November is National Lung Cancer Awareness Month. In this country, lung cancer is the number one cause of cancer-related deaths.
Researchers say that targeted exercise could help lower inflamation linked to cancer development. Ohio State University experts use recommendations from the American College of Sports Medicine to explain what you could be doing right now to lower your risk immediately.
“And those are basically two to three weight training sessions a week. And then also five days a week of 30 minutes or more of cardio-type exercise. That would be walking, biking, any cardiovascular type,” said Marisa Bittoni, Ohio State University.
