The Watterson girls tennis team doesn’t take lightly what’s at stake every time it hits the court.
With more than 20 athletes in the program, the Eagles have participation numbers that provide lineup flexibility and rival those throughout Susan Weil’s 11 seasons as coach.
While creating relationships among those on the team is always part of its focus, Watterson also has become the CCL’s top program. It beat DeSales 3-2 on Sept. 20 at the Park of Roses to capture its fifth consecutive league championship.
