Three manatees, Scampi, Acorn, and Einstein have arrived in Central Florida after completing their rehabilitation at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium.
Scampi, Acorn, and Einstein were all rescued off the coast of Florida and have completed multiple rehabilitation milestones before being released back into the wild.
Scampi was brought to Columbus on Oct. 22, 2020, after she was rescued with her mother, Jumbo, in Florida on Nov. 22, 2019. Sadly, Jumbo died due to extensive injuries from a boat impact wounds, zoo officials said.
